About the B.T.C.I. Conference
The M.C.C.A.
The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (M.C.C.A.) was formed in Antigua by the Methodist Church Ordinance, 1967. The M.C.C.A. is organized and constituted as a Connexional conference comprising eight Districts or District Conferences:

South Caribbean
The M.C.C.A. was established by the Methodist Church in Great Britain which itself was formed on 20th September, 1932 through the union of the churches formerly known as the Wesleyan Methodist Church, the Primitive Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church. The Methodist work in the West Indies, the Bahamas, and the mainland territories in South and Central America was actually inaugurated under the authority of the Reverend John Wesley and his Conference in the year 1786. The Mission which was sent by Reverend Wesley developed the work started by Nathaniel Gilbert in 1760 in Antigua. The early mission efforts have grown and expanded over the years, and the M.C.C.A. is the governing body for the development of Methodism in the aforementioned territories. The current President of the M.C.C.A. is the Rev. Bruce Swapp. The Secretary is Rev. Franklyn Manners. The office is located at Belmont, St. John's, Antigua, P.O. Box 9. Phone 268-460-5777. Fax 268-460-5776.
The B.T.C.I. Conference
By agreement, the B.T.C.I. Conference is one of eight self-governing Conferences or District Conferences of the M.C.C.A. It was incorporated in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas as a nonprofit company limited by guarantee on January 21, 1998, No. 44111 under the Companies Act.
